As part of a unit on rocks and minerals, students engaged in hands-on, inquiry-based activities that helped them discover what geologists do, how to identify rocks and minerals, and how rocks change over time through the rock cycle. This article describes how students then used HyperStudio to enhance their projects, which led to increased student achievement in science. Incorporating technology in this manner allowed students to take a more constructivist approach, where they have to create their own meaning out of each lesson.
