Changing the Culture of Undergraduate Science Teaching

Journal of College Science Teaching—February 2001

Faculty at several Arizona institutions collaborated to change the culture of science teaching by introducing comprehensive and systemic reforms in undergraduate science and math courses. Preliminary measurements of the effectiveness of the reformed science teaching indicate success and that the timescale for changing a university’s culture of undergraduate science teaching is a decade or more.
