A challenging aspect of teaching science at a business specialty school is helping students to understand the role that science plays in everyday lives and will play in professional lives. To address this lack of connection and to incorporate more science into the business curriculum, this course, Applied Coastal Oceanography, combines aspects of science and business in such a way that students gain a clearer understanding of the role science plays in the business world.
