The goal of multiple-case method teaching is to bring students closer to real work settings or, more specifically, to situations in which they are supposed to act professionally. Thus, its aim is similar to training in competitive sports; afford students the opportunity to practice their skills as they work toward increased familiarity and proficiency in their field. When case discussions proceed optimally, students get an experience reminiscent of the smooth flow of a well-executed ball game. Two typical examples of the multiple-case method are included.
