This year, the National Science Foundation (NSF) reaches out to families and asks them to discover the power of asking, "Why?" The mission of NSF's Find Out Why program is to engage all Americans in science, engineering, and technology so that the United States will have the science-literate public needed to face the challenges in the years ahead. The program materials are designed to help nurture and channel students' curiosity about the world around them.
