Teaching Science to the Nonscience Major—An Interdisciplinary Approach: Presenting Science as an Integrated Process Using a Modular Course Format

This article discusses the structure, content, and implementation of a new course designed to teach the crucial essentials of the scientific enterprise to the nonscience major. The focus is the attempt to teach the process of science, the "doing" of science. It uses the content of various scientific disciplines to present science as a human activity—a “way of knowing" the universe around us.
