Undergraduate Marine Research

Journal of College Science Teaching—February 2003

Science and nonscience majors work together in a remote field setting on authentic marine research projects supervised by faculty from multiple disciplines and institutions. In the process, they learn science by doing science, gain research and logistical skills, and improve their self-confidence and ability to work in groups.
