JoinScience Sampler: The Plant Feastival
The Plant Feastival is a celebration of the plants we use as food. It is a culminating activity for the plant unit, during which students participate in the “Great Plant Race” and prepare a research project on a food plant. The research project is displayed on a tri-fold board, and these projects are presented to fifth graders during the “Feastival.” Students also prepare an evening presentation for their parents and families. The highlight of the presentation is a taste test of the food that students have prepared.
