Science Scope—January 1999

Crows are among the most interesting birds to study firsthand, and are available for study through a variety of sources. In this unit, students learn about crows through reading, writing, discussion, and observation. The activities include researching crows, identifying bird calls, and observing crow behavior. This unit offers students opportunities to improve critical-reading, researching, writing, and communication skills as well as learning about the natural world.
