Idea Bank: Effective Data Representation

Science students often have a difficult time distinguishing between data collection and data representation and interpretation. It is important for students to understand that organizing data into a chart or graph can often lead to identifying relationships, making generalizations, and extending the concept beyond data. To help students make this connection, the author developed an activity around a problem of force and acceleration, which is described in this article.
