For the first few weeks of summer break, most teachers appreciate nothing more than a comfortable lounge chair on a breezy veranda. Fortunately, that is the ideal position from which to begin a personal program of rich professional development (PD)—by exploring good books! But where to begin? As in summers past, we have asked our NSTA Recommends reviewers to reflect on the books that have come their way these last semesters and provide you with an easy route to change and mental challenge.
