Archive: Are your Lab SOPs in Place for a Safer School Year?, September 16, 2021

As the 2021–2022 school year approaches and things are getting closer to “normal,” it’s time to re-establish our STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) spaces (for the purposes of this web seminar, STEM spaces include a science lab, technology and engineering lab [i.e., construction lab], makerspace, etc.) and make sure everything is safer for the new school year. Our students need to explore their curiosities and develop their skills in a hands-on, inquiry-based environment that is safer and up-to-date.

What's the latest understanding about whether storms are getting more intense? What about heatwaves? Fires? Droughts? How do we determine how these extremes are - or aren't - related to climate change? And, where can I get authoritative data related to these, and all the above? NCEI is the world's largest archive for weather and climate data and provides tools, services, and climate science to inform our understanding of the climate system.

We invite you to register for upcoming web seminars at NSTA.
